you know, Kymberlie, ever since i started reading your site (not from the beginning), i was wondering what this category was about. i finally found the time to click on the category and scroll to the beginning and i think this is neat. like your own personal meme. i had a calendar which had a question a day and i was thinking of doing that and answering it myself, but somehow lost interest.
oh, btw - the font for this comment is black and bolded. is there anyway you can make it light blue or white? just a suggestion. :)
i still luv ya!

While flipping through An Exaltation of Larks: The Ultimate Edition by James Lipton looking for this week's "It's a Group Thing" I came across one that I thought was just beautiful. Today's group term is:
A Radiance of Cardinals

It's a Group Thing: Part VI
While looking for last week's term, I stumbled upon the one I want to use for today. Since Steven and I have fancy goldfish and I live in a neurotic fishbowl, today's term is most fitting. The term is:
A Glint of Goldfish
.: 44 words at 12:03 AM in $entry_cats="It's a Group Thing, ";print substr($entry_cats, 0, -2); ?> :: Link ::
:: All the Voices Say... (0)

It's a Group Thing: Part V
My blog was down Wednesday, so I'll post this week's "It's a Group Thing" now.
Davezilla and friends were coming up with their own terms and I really liked their "An Eh of Canadians." Since I'm not Canadian, but I am Scots/Irish, today's group term is:
A Fifth of Scots
.: 50 words at 02:45 PM in $entry_cats="It's a Group Thing, ";print substr($entry_cats, 0, -2); ?> :: Link ::
:: All the Voices Say... (0)

It's a Group Thing - Davezilla Style
Davezilla and a bunch of his friends devised new group names for several existing terms. Of them all, my personal favorites are:
- A spasm of ferrets
- A melanoma of moles
- An Easter of seals
- A poo-fling of apes
- A pinch of asses
- A toupée of Tribbles
- A heartburn of dragons
Of course, tomorrow is Wednesday, so come back for a new "It's a Group Thing!"

It's a Group Thing: Part IV
I choose today's "It's a Group Thing" term because I received a third bill for the tests I had run back in January, one from the radiologist that determined what my test result meant. I thought it was only fitting that I use:
A Staph of Diagnosticians
.: 47 words at 08:55 PM in $entry_cats="It's a Group Thing, ";print substr($entry_cats, 0, -2); ?> :: Link ::
:: All the Voices Say... (4)

I don't think I have told you how much fun I've had reading these! You are so cool :)
I'm kinda thinking they'll find a staph of diagnosticians all over me after my appointment next week!!!

It's a Group Thing: Part III
Building on last week (a rictus of beauty queens), I thought we would use other beautiful people as this week's Group Thing. Today's group term is:
A Slouch of Models
For those of you who missed what this is all about, each week I will feature a term for groups of things from An Exaltation of Larks: The Ultimate Edition by James Lipton. I found the book really interesting and wanted to share it with everyone.

It's a Group Thing: Part II
I had meant to do this yesterday, but am just now getting around to it. I've decided to make Wednesday's my day for "It's a Group Thing." (Wednesday, hump day, group thing. Get it?) Since I ranted earlier this week about beauty pageants, today's group term is:
A Rictus of Beauty Queens
.: 53 words at 12:13 AM in $entry_cats="It's a Group Thing, ";print substr($entry_cats, 0, -2); ?> :: Link ::

It's a Group Thing: Part I
A few years ago I bought a great book - An Exaltation of Larks : The Ultimate Edition by James Lipton. It's basically a big list of over a thousand terms for groups of things. Now, we all know a bunch of lions is a pride and some of us may even know a murder of crows, but would you know a goring of butchers? What I would like to do is put up a term, maybe a couple of times a week, maybe just once a week. I found the book just fascinating and wanted to share it with you. Without further adieu, here is today's term:
An Ostentation of Peacocks
Very fitting, wouldn't you say?
