I meant to post my critique of the Kroger's that Mike and I visited the other night (I even took pictures of random stuff with my camera phone), but I was really tired when I got home Thursday night. It was on my to do list for today, but it turned out that Katie had the day off, so I spent it with her instead.
I met her at her new house (which is quite nice, btw) and then we went to The Galleria and met up with Robin. We headed over to Ninfa's for lunch and margaritas where we got carded, which is always good for the ego. Lots of great lines were uttered, including Katie telling the waiter to, "Hold on there, soldier!" when he tried to take her margarita. Afterwards, we did some shopping and I got a cute pink and white polka dot skirt from Express and some adorable striped boxer shorts from Delia's.
Robin had to leave to pick up Eleanor, so we said our goodbyes and Katie and I went over to Williams-Sonoma and this great store called Anthropologie. Antropologie had some cute stuff, but for the most part it was too pricey. They did have these really cute designer toothbrushes, so I got a striped one that matches my boxers because I'm geeky that way.
Katie and I then headed over to Harwin to check out the cheap purses and jewelry. We both got bags and she got some really cute bracelets and necklaces. We then went and looked for found dog posters since Lucy, Katie's beagle puppy, went missing a few weeks back.
It was then time to go back to her house where we picked up her husband Chris (a super nice guy) and headed to the West Alabama Ice House since there was supposedly a sign there about a found beagle. We got there only to find out that the bartender had taken it down a few days ago. He told Katie to bring back a lost dog sign and he'd make sure that it stayed up until Lucy was found. After having a beer, we went over to Barnaby's for dinner where I had the most delicious chocolate chip cookie ever. It was completely to die for.
I'm now back home and exhausted. I'm off to bed soon since Christine's bridal shower is tomorrow in Clear Lake. I hope everyone had as good a Friday as I did (man, I love making lame puns)!
