Another Good Finish
I had another pretty good finish in one of Paradise Poker's multi-table tournaments - 105 out of 2,500. Of course, that only nets me $0.50, but I'm still proud.

Going, Going, Gone
I decided to take advantage of eBay's free listing day and put up a ton of Beanie Babies for sale that I had multiples of. You can view them here, so if you're a collector, feel free to see if they are any you need.
They're all retired Internet exclusives, so you may be able to find one or two that you missed.

That'll Do, Pig.
I just got done watching Babe, probably the most enchanting film ever made. Am I the only one who cries pretty much through the whole thing, especially at the end?
This is another one of those highly recommended movies for everyone regardless of age. The movie is simply priceless, especially the ending. Really, I'm not sure who the better actor is - stoic James Cromwell or the cast of animals?
On that note, I'll leave you with some lyrics that I wish for each and every one of you:
If I had words to make a day for you,
I'd sing you a morning golden and new.
I would make this day last for all time,
Give you a night deep with moonshine.
Merry Christmas, everyone.

Christmas means dinner. Dinner means death. Death means carnage. Christmas means carnage!
Sorry -- every time someone mentions Babe that line runs through my head and I have to get it out. I love that movie!

i always cry at Babe... especially when he's all like "i want my mom" (okay, as i wrote that, i had to say it outloud in an english pig voice.)

Oh, I just re-watched Babe this weekend! I started crying when they took Babe's parents and kept on crying through "That'll do, Pig"...(with a lot of laughing in-between too)
Posted by Angela at December 29, 2003 05:29 PM
can you put back up the link to the songs? I love babe and just watched it again. you can't download the song on itunes, and I don't want to buy the whole cd...I was hoping you could put it back up!

Lady Luck
For some reason, there is a ladybug in my room. I figured - it being December and all - that they'd all be dead by now, but nope, there's one running around the top of my lamp. Since ladybugs are supposed to be lucky, I'll take it as a sign that my luck is going to change for the new year.

Here's hoping that your luck turns around in 2004!

That's a great sign!
I just wish it was only ladybugs that were still alive and kicking around here in Georgia. Stupid hateful yellow jackets are all I see around here. It's December, shouldn't they all be dead and gone? Oh well, I'm hoping for a ladybug too!
Happy Holidays!

Better Finish
I made my best placing in a multi-table poker tournament tonight - 88 out of 2,500. Not too shabby.

Blue Day
I received in the mail today a copy of The Blue Day Book: A Lesson in Cheering Yourself Up from one of my BookCrossing friends and it really made my day.
I've been feeling very blue today and this little book with its short sentences and wonderful pictures made me both laugh and cry. I just can't thank her enough for this little pick me up.
Some times the smallest things can have the biggest impact. Know what I mean?

Ladies' Night
I just got done watching a special show that The World Poker Tour put on where they invited six of the top women poker players to play against each other. What an excellent show it was! I was really surprised who won and the playing from everyone was phenomenal.
The Travel Channel is showing reruns right now, so if you haven't taken my advice and watched in the past, now would be a great time to start since the new season hasn't started yet.
Damn. I love poker.
