It's Life, Jim, but Not As We Know It

Jay linked to this great Star Trekkin' flash movie (the dead red shirts count literally made me laugh out loud) a few weeks back. I'd meant to post about it, but forgot, so here you go.

I always thought the song was funny, though I've never actually seen an original Star Trek episode. I started watching Star Trek: Deep Space Nine a few seasons before it ended and I loved it.

I also loved the Vegas crooner, Vic Fontaine, from the holodeck. Turns out he used to a singer back in the day and a few years back he released an album, dedicated to his Star Trek fans, with all the old standards on it. It's an fabulous CD, so if you're a fan of people like Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin, you ought to give it a listen.
