Synch This

I don't think I mentioned it, but I'm housesitting for Elaine while she and Kenny are out of town. This caused me a little panic since I (obviously) don't have my desktop PC here, which is where all my music files are, so I wasn't sure how I was going to be able to upload music.

Luckily, thanks to a 40 GB photo iPod that holds most of my music and a little program called Anapod, everything's working out beautifully.

Anapod lets you copy music from your iPod to your computer, so I'm just dragging files from the Anapod Explorer window (basically, a Windows Explorer window) right into my FTP program and uploading them that way. Piece of cake.

If you have an iPod, I cannot recommend Anapod enough. I hate iTunes (especially since I lost about 8 GBs of music once thanks to its damn auto-synch feature), so it's good to have an even better alternative.

I really liked Bic Runga's 'Sleep' and put it on every mix CD I made for a few months. I got one of her albums and promptly misplaced it so saying that I didn't get into it isn't really fair because I only listened to it once and half-heartedly at that. Sigh.
