Back From Vegas (and I'm Engaged)

I actually have been back from Vegas since really early Wednesday morning (got to the airport at around 1:30 a.m., got back to Christine's house to get my car, and then back home around 3:00 a.m.), but I've been pretty freaking tired and sore ever since.

I headed over to Christine's house after Tiara Happy Hour on Saturday night (which, as always, was a blast) and pretty much just stayed up with an exception of a twenty minute nap on the couch while Mike played on the computer. We got to the airport, caught our flight, and made it to Vegas pretty early. We then set out to see the Hoover Dam (btw, lots of pictures of the Dam and other Vegas fun up over in my moblog), which was really cool. Well, actually it was 116 degrees outside, so it was hot, but the dam was cool.

The rest of the trip was spent having lots of fun and drinking lots of alcohol. We saw Cirque Du Soleil's "O" at The Bellagio (I'd seen it before, but loved it just as much this time), I had a frozen (Frozen! Why did I never think of having one of these frozen before?) sour apple martini that was delicious for dinner one night, we saw the hysterically bad "Sirens of TI" (Who knew that every pirate battle ended with the phrase, "Yo, DJ! Kick it!"), drank a delicious Tangerine Octane (a frozen tangerine drink with vodka) out of a huge cup which we then carried with us down the Strip, bitched about how dumb "TI" sounds instead of Treasure Island, rode the roller coaster at New York, New York (twice), enjoyed frozen drinks (mine was a blue pina colada) with fuzzy palm tree and flamingo twizzle sticks in them made my a bartender that had all of Tom Cruise's moves from Coctail, and ate at the delicious Bellagio buffet.

The night we went down the Strip, Tangerine Octanes in hand, we were headed to watch the Fountains at Bellagio. I always find them so beautiful and they make me cry, especially if I'm a little tipsy. Christine was so moved by my tears, the lovely fountains, and the Eiffel Tower right behind us that she dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry her. I, of course, said yes and we spent the rest of the trip letting everyone know that we'd just gotten engaged. Good thing Mike is okay with his wife having a wife!

All in all, it was another great Vegas trip (my sixth, I believe) and I can't wait to go back again.

I am looking for the recipe for the tangerine octane drink..my sister in law had one in vegas and we are trying to make some. any help will be appreciated.
