Annoying Bumper Stickers

I saw the most annoying bumper stickers today at lunch. The first one said, "Smile! Your mom chose life!" While that one was bad, it was nothing compared to the one that said, "How can there be too many children? That's like saying there can be too many flowers."

Right. Except flowers don't require things like food, clothes, diapers, and other basics that some poor woman may not be able to afford or be metally prepared to give. A flower you just plop in water.

I saw a gaggy one last night! "Parents to One Terrific Kid!" Blech! Nothing like making your child think he's the center of the universe.......let him crash when he finds out no one else thinks so! *s*

I agree...those *pro-life* stickers are the worst!

I once saw one on a car that had New Hampshire plates. For anyone who doesn't know, the state slogan, which is on the plates, is *Live Free Or Die*.

It was just strange seeing those two things right next to each other, on the same car. How can you live free if people want to take away your right to choose?

BTW, you might like this webring: Pro-Choice Is Not Anti-Life

While web searching for new checks I found some pro-life checks. They amazed me, not something I'm sure I'd want to send out into the public while buying tampons or a steak. Oh well.

Children and flowers? Oh, please! Talk about taking a hugely complicated issue and over-simplifying it to the point of absurdity. I would have screamed in the car! Then again, I pretty much scream at all anti-abortion bumper stickers. ;)

Do you know who said that statement about the flowers? MOTHER THERESA, the most respected woman of our time! She also said "It's a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish" Think about it.

And the "poor" woman you talk about not being able to afford to take care of a child should not have had premarital sex in the first place. Not to mention that there are preganancy crisis centers and other options other than abortion (such as adoption).

The reason that these stickers probably annoy you is because you know deep down what they are saying are true and you don't want to admit it.

Anyone who thinks that abortion is anything but murder has a serious problem and I will pray for all of you. I'm sure one day when you have children (hopefully) you will understand what I am talking about.
