Arnold...

Our fish Arnold, that we've had for at least three years who got the name Arnold because he is indestructible like the Terminator, is really sick. He was fine this morning and when I came home tonight he was at the top of the tank, belly side up, with a lot of red coloring to his face and fins and a red spot on his stomach. It looks like a bacterial infection, and I am praying that we caught it early enough to treat. Steven just loves him and I know he's really upset. If it's not asking too much, can you send some good thoughts my fishy's way? I know most people don't think of fish as real pets, but this guy means a lot to us.

I hope that Arnold feel better very soon. I know how you feel about your fish, as I have a beautiful red Beta that my son got me two years ago for my birthday. His bowl sits next to my 'puter, and when I turn the light on at my desk, he comes swimming over to my side of the bowl as if to say "Hello there"! I understand completely!

Best wishes to Arnold. I just got my first tank of fish about a month ago and I lost a couple right at the beginning. I felt bad even though I hadn't had the chance to get really attached to them. Good luck.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed and thinking good healthy fish thoughts on behalf of Arnold! I *know* how attached one becomes to fish . . . they are really very friendly, with sweet fishy personalities . . . and so lovely to watch. I find it very upsetting when they're sick. So . . . good fish thoughts to Arnold!!

I hope Arnold makes it.

I just lost one of my fish, and I fully understand how attached you can get to the little guys.
