Encoding E-Mail Addresses in MT

I was noticing that a few people have statements in their comments that say things to the effect that you're e-mail address is spam-protected when you leave a comment. I was wondering how they did that, so I went and did a search at the MT Support Forums that found this thread. Basically by changing < $MTCommentAuthorLink$ > to < $MTCommentAuthorLink spam_protect="1"$ >, the "@" and "." characters get changed to their ASCII values so that spambots can't harvest them (please note I added the spaces in the <> tags so it would display in my blog). It took me all of a couple of minutes to make the change in both this blog and in Picture Fish, so help stop spam and make this change if you're on MT.
