Giving the Gift of Life

The local mall was having a blood drive today so after I met Steven for lunch, I decided to go give blood. Not sure if that was the best thing for me to do since I tend to do things like pass out during routine OB-GYN visits. (Yes, that really happened. I started to get really hot, everything went black, and next thing I know they were picking me up off the ground. Speaking of those kind of doctors, I have my annual chick check on Monday so here's to hoping I don't pass out!)

I'd never given blood before, but it was a fairly easy process and I'm glad I did it. I did start to get really light-headed and hot, but the nice guy who was taking my blood put a cold pack on my neck, lowered my feet, and blasted the air conditioning on me and I started immediately feeling better. I think my blood sugar is still a little low so I'm going to leave early for my chiropractor's visit and get some juice from the store to take home.

hey good for you ;) It's always good to give blood when there are so many people who need it. I'd do it too except I'm below the legal age *shh!* ;)
